The Learning Holiday Program - "It’s all about real-life situations"
The General English program aims to develop communication skills and an all-round understanding of the English language. The program is for those students who wish to learn English and at the same time enjoy a working holiday.
General English consist of 20 sessions per week from 9:00 to 12:30, Monday to Friday. Each session is 45 minutes and there is a maximum class size limit of 12 persons.
General English is taught at five different levels of English, from beginner to advance. The course covers reading, writing, listening and speaking and also essential grammar, pronunciation, colloquial language, idioms and vocabulary. As there is no fixed duration for this course you can continue for as long as is needed.
As with all our courses, on arrival Elanguest will evaluate your level of English and place you in the appropriate class. The school will continually monitor your progress and help you to move between different class levels.
This course can either be taken as a stand alone program or in conjunction with a specialist program as a refresher course.
Optional add-on lessons
Mini-groups: Students can add an additional 90 minutes per day to the General English course. These mini-group sessions take place in the afternoon from 13:30 – 15:00. They can either be taken for the entire duration of your stay or for specific weeks which best suits you.
