Hello everyone! Hope you’re all doing great! Can you believe it?! It’s Friday again already…this week has really passed in the wink of an eye!
“Even though I have to admit that coming in on Monday was a bit more difficult than usual since the last weekend was a long one, with a holiday falling on the Friday. But you know what? I guess in life it’s useless complaining, so we might as well greet each new day with a smile and be thankful for all the good things we have! And believe me…when you see a group of new students walking into school on Monday morning, eager to do their tests and start their English course, you can’t not be thankful for being part of such a lovely environment!” These were the words of the two new teachers – Marilyn and Ignazio – who we welcomed on board this week. It was really nice to see how they fit in with the rest of us right away!
For the past two weeks we’ve also been collaborating with a group of Medical English teachers from Hungary and Romania. They spent two weeks at Elanguest during which we discussed various teaching methods, shared our classroom experiences and also our resources, both online (www.englishmed.com , www.linguasnet.com , www.englishforums.com ) as well as books, articles and so forth. We also went into our You-Tube lessons and talked about how the viewers can benefit from these sorts of lessons. All in all it’s been a very interesting two-week course for both parties and I’m pretty sure that this will eventually lead to something which both our and their teachers will benefit from in the future.

As I previously said, this week flew by – not just from an academic point of view, but also in general. As usual, we gave our students quite a few possibilities to go round the island by organizing various trips to different places all over Malta. We took them to beaches, to Comino and we’ve also made it a point to organize a Jeep Safari to Gozo at the weekend. This is always a favourite tour amongst our normally-very-adventurous students!

So here I am, on a nice and sunny Friday afternoon adding yet another page to our weekly diary. Come to think of it, it’s almost as if this page is another chapter of the story of Elanguest! Now that this diary page has been going on for quite a number of weeks now, I’d like to invite all of you readers to become part of this story. Feel free to give us your feedback – positive or negative – and if there’s anything which you would like to see more of, just let us know! You can do this by sending an e-mail to tutor@elanguest.com .
I guess that's it for now....I'll see you all next week :) Until then...have a great weekend!
