Grades

  • Foundation: 5.5
  • Undergraduate: 6
  • Postgraduate: 6.5

Students cannot sit for more than one exam within a span of three months. Applications must be made 5 - 6 weeks before the exam date.

IELTS Grades are divided into 9 bands from:

1 - NON USER

to

9 - EXPERT USER


Students must select either the Academic or General Training Reading and Writing Modules depending on their requirements.

The Academic Modules assess whether a student is ready to study or train in the medium of English at an undergraduate or postgraduate level.

The emphasis of General Training is on basic survival skills in a broad social and educational context. It is suitable for candidates who are going to English speaking countries to complete their secondary education, to undertake work experience or training programmes not at degree level, or for immigration purposes to Australia and New Zealand.
