General English Courses

An overview of the General English Courses you can take at Elanguest.

Elanguest language school covers all aspects of the English language, general English provides a great way to practise grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills using a range of topics. All levels, from beginners to advanced, are accepted for General English and you will be moved automatically to classes of a higher level as you advance in your studies. The only differences between these courses are the maximum size of of class and the number of hours per day that you wish to study.

General English (Standard Course)

These classes run from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm each day, and are perfect if you would like to leave the rest of the day free for sightseeing and exploring Malta.

  • 20 X 45 minute lessons per week (15 hours)

General English Intensive

General English Intensive, extends the general English course into the afternoon with a greater focus on speaking and discussion practise in the afternoon session - from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm. Ideal if you want to make fast progress and become more confident with speaking.

  • Class sizes: Morning sessions -12 maximum.
  • Afternoon sessions - 8 maximum.
  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 to 12:30 and 13:00 to 14:30
  • 30 X 45 minutes sessions (22.5 hrs) per week
  • Available all year

General English Intensive Mini Group

For those who want very small class sizes, the mini group experience is Intensive English with a maximum of 6 students in the class. More attention, more time to speak and greater access to the teacher. The Intensive English Mini-Group programme is approved and accredited by the Bildungsurlaub programme, Germany and is available throughout the year.

There is no fixed duration for this course and it is possible to continue for as long as is needed.

    Private 1:1 Lessons

    Private courses are ideal for those wishing to really excel or learn English for specific subjects outside of their normal lessons. All our private courses are held between Monday and Friday.

    These can be taken as a full course (in low season) or taken at any time of the year as add-on lessons to existing courses.
