Location: St Julian's, Malta. Elanguest English Language School is in the heart of Malta's most exclusive area, close to the sea and accommodation
Elanguest's location in St Julians; a coastal town known as one of Malta's main hubs for commerce, leisure and high-end services.
You can find most amenities and conveniences close by, with the capital city Valletta and many other places of interest only a bus journey away.
Although Valletta has long been the Capital of Malta, St Julians has, over the last 20 years, evolved into a focal point for tourism. The majority of visitors now choose to make it their initial stop when getting to know the island. As a result the town boasts a great cultural diversity with a very cosmopolitan feel so you're always sure to find someone from home or from somewhere new. The best part is you're going to have to practise your English, as it's the common language used here.
Whether you're looking for a low-key hotel or one of the big names, you'll find it here. With the Hilton just across the street, and the Valentina, Vivaldi, Interconontinental, and Juliani all nearby, you'll never be far from your classroom.
St Julians is also close to the nightlife 'clubland' of Paceville. A ten minute walk will take you to a number of bars restaurants and clubs. In the day it's a great place to eat at a number of varied restaurants and at night it's the place to go and let your hair down.
If you're in the mood for something more relaxing you can walk down to Spinola Bay, this picturesque area also sports many restaurants and is great for having lunch or a coffee and looking out over the waters and traditional fishing boats.
There are 2 beaches in the St Julians area, one rocky and one sandy. The sandy one known as St George's bay is a popular spot for sunbathing and swimming. The local lidos offer jet-skiis, paragliding, boat tours and more, and there's always somewhere to rest and buy a cool drink. On the other side of St julians is the rocky beach - it's less busy and a popular spot for swimming or just staring out at the Mediterranean sea.
It's easy to get a taxi or bus from St Julian’s to anywhere on the island. With Sliema and its beaches, cafe culture and international shopping centres a short ride away, and Golden Bay's sweeping beaches easily accessible in the North, you won’t have a long journey when you decide to explore.
There's a bus stop directly opposite the school that will take you to Valletta, Sliema, or the North of the island, and there's a taxi company next to this bus stop in case you need it. Cars can be hired through the school and getting to St. Julians from the airport is simple and fast with our pre-arranged airport transfers.
